EMPOWER: Word for the Year - PEACE (Colonial Presbyterian Church KCMO)

Enjoy a family meal with other single-mom families followed by a program just for moms — all at no cost. Topics range from emotional well-being equipping to spiritual growth and practical life skills that will benefit moms and their children. While moms attend their program, infants through 5th graders are cared for and provided age-appropriate programs.

What if you could start 2024 by breathing in God’s peace and that sets the tone for your entire year–no matter your current stresses, situations, or hurdles you are facing. Come, learn how to center your mind, body and spirit in PEACE to begin your new year. Nicole Jordan, single mother and Certified Breathwork instructor, will share her journey that led to recognizing breathing exercises are a key to restoring mind, spirit, and body to be at peace even in the midst of crisis and chaotic times. She will teach us several breathing exercises that can be done anywhere to relieve stress and anxiety.
